The success story of 'Pavitra Rishta' boy Sushant Singh Rajput


Dubbed as the future prince of Bollywood, Sushant Singh Rajput's story is not known to many people.
Life has not been a bed of roses for this new star in the block. From being a college dropout to background dancer to hanging around in coffee shops, Sushant has lead the life of a struggler.
Engineering drop out, this Patna boy got his first break as an assistant director to Mohit Suri for 'Raaz 2'.
Sushant was a part of theatre too and learnt acting at Barry John’s theatre classes.
In fact, he had performed in the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and also, was one of the background dancers at 51st Filmfare awards.

Sushant began his acting career on the small screen with a role in producer Ekta Kapoor's show 'Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil'.
Ekta spotted Sushant in the theatre and showed confidence in him. He later became a household name as the lead in Ekta's serial 'Pavitra Rishta'.

After the success of 'Pavitra Rishta' things started looking up for this actor. But he wanted to do films. After quitting 'Pavitra Rishta' he was jobless for many months and like a struggler would be spotted at various regular coffee shops.

Sushant quit 'Pavitra Rishta', in October 2011 to pursue a filmmaking Course abroad.

A boy next door with average looks vying to make it big in the television industry is what Sushant Singh Rajput was all about until his first Bollywood film 'Kai Po Che' happened.
And then, there was no going backwards for this actor who was a nobody just a couple of years ago, and is now seen as the next big thing in Bollywood.

In all likelyhood Sushant might end up romancing one of the most popular and highest paid actress in Bollywood - Katrina Kaif - in Abhsihek Kapoor's 'Fitoor'.

After 'Kai Po Che' Sushant has been flooded with offers. His next will be Yash Raj Film’s 'Shuddh Desi Romance' opposite Parineeti Chopra.
He will be seen in Raj Kumar Hirani’s 'P.K' with Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma.

Then it will be time for 'Fitoor', which is based on Charles Dicken’s Great Expectations.
He had also; joined Shiamak Davar’s dancing class. The effort didn’t go in vain as the actor earned appreciation in many reality shows 'Zara Nachke Dikha 2' and 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa season 4'. He made a special appearance on the launch episode of season 6 of 'Jhalak...".
Sushant Singh Rajput found his way to the right place at the right time.
